Ryan Reynolds and fellow actor and friend Rob McElhenney had a meet-up with King Charles III and Camilla, the Queen Consort, on Friday morning. Reynolds and McElhenney co-own the Wrexham Football Club in Wales, where the meeting took place.

Reynolds is working on a docuseries, "Welcome to Wrexham". The series documents the actors’ decision to purchase the Wrexham club in hopes of improving it. The meeting, which was photographed, might be a part of that.

Reynolds and McElhenney were seen laughing, shaking hands and speaking with the Royals today. Reynolds took to Instagram to share the photo and captioned it ‘Welcome to Wrexham Season 2: Charles in Charge’.


After the visit, the King said in a speech that he had seen one of the wonders of Wrexham. He applauded the Welsh national team for qualifying for the football World Cup, and in turn, bringing in international recognition.
