The name of the American entrepreneur, investor, and former billionaire, Samuel Bankman-Fried, also known by his initials SBF, is among one the few names that pop up in the world of cryptocurrency. Bankman-Fried was once known as the cryptocurrency mogul. However, now, the entrepreneur is not known for anything good.

Bankman-Fried was a crypto wunderkind who had been topping the Bloomberg Billionaires Index's board. But it was before FTX, the big cryptocurrency exchange he built, came crashing down.

SBX and FTX are currently going through investigations in the US and other nations for potential securities crimes due to the allegations that his cryptocurrency exchange used $10 billion in client funds to support his sister company Alameda Research.


Sam was detained in the Bahamas after being charged with a crime in the US. Meanwhile, the US authorities have been attempting to bring charges against him.
