The railway and aviation departments are having frightening strikes all over December and January in Europe. It’s very likely to affect people who want to get home for the upcoming holidays. These strikes are taking place in Europe around this Christmas and New Year.

One of the International rail services - Eurostar will strike over Christmas and New Year as their strikes were called off on December 16 and 18 to give time to union members to grant their vote on new pay offer. In Eurostar about 100 security staff went on strike on December 22 and 23 in a major issue over delays in their wages causing cancellation of trains and affecting the travel plans of people. In further information the company will update the passengers with any more impact to travel services.

This strike is mainly carried out by the ticket collectors and train conductors. The motive of this strike is their demand to seek higher salaries and their bonuses to be taken into respective account under pension calculations.

Sud-Rail union members also went on strike due to initial pay negotiations with SNCF failed. These strikes have been taking place very much because the train drivers get the least pay in Europe.
