When will North Staffordshire's tips be open during Christmas and New Year's Holiday?

Christmas is a beautiful time of year when family and friends gather together to spend time together, exchange gifts, and create priceless memories. However, it is also a period when houses may amass mountains of wrapping paper and cardboard boxes.

Many families will visit the landfill throughout the holiday season while the bin men take a well-deserved 10-day break. The final waste collection of 2022 took place on Friday, December 23, and will not resume until Monday, January 2, in Stoke-on-Trent.

However, not all local tips may be open on the day you want to run. Check out our schedule to see when North Staffordshire's tips will be open over the Christmas and New Year holidays:

Burslem-

The Household Waste and Recycling Centre in Burslem will only be open on December 30 and New Year eve. Then, on Tuesday, business hours will go back to normal on January 3. Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 16:30 p.m.

Biddulph-

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be closed at Biddulph Recycling Centre. It will also be closed for the following dates: December 27, January 2, and January 3.

Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 16:30 p.m.

Cheadle-

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be closed at Cheadle Recycling Centre. It will also be closed on the 28th and 29th of December.

Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

Leek-

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be closed at Leek Recycling Centre.

Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

Newcastle-

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be closed at Newcastle Recycling Centre. It will also be closed on the 28th and 29th of December.

Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

Stone-

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be closed at Stone Recycling Centre. It will also be closed for the following dates: December 27, January 2, and January 3.

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be closed at Uttoxeter Recycling Centre. It will also be closed on the 28th and 29th of December.
