What is Covid collapse? 'Open All Hours' legend Sir David Jason describes
Actor Sir David Jason has stated that he suffered from severe COVID this summer, which resulted in him falling while getting out of bed one night.

He said he had it extremely bad because all of his muscles had stopped working. He slumped and fell against the radiator because he was so weak he couldn't get up. Sir David described how he crept to bed after getting up to use the restroom. He said, "I crawled to the bed. The muscles weren't working and I used the bed to try and stand up so that I could go to where I wanted to get, and also get back into bed, and I couldn't…"
"I tried for about a quarter of an hour, trying all sorts of things to stand up so I could walk about."
He tried to go to the door to call his wife, but his arms and legs wouldn't move, so being a highly imaginative and inventive guy, he wondered how he would get to the door. He added, when you see a walrus on David Attenborough, they don't only walk on land, but crawl on it as well. That's exactly what he did. But he needed to use his head to do so. So he was lying face down on the ground, and to get to the door, he was using his head to drag himself there because his arms and legs weren't working.
