​The first destination is Hanle village, located about 168 miles southeast of Leh, the capital of Ladakh. India recently designated this village as its first Dark Sky Reserve, making it an ideal location for stargazing. The village has roughly 270 clear nights a year, allowing for incredible astronomical displays. The reserve spans 414 sq. mi. and envelops much of the Changthang Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Dark Sky Reserve designation is a recognition of Hanle village's commitment to preserving its pristine night skies. The village has implemented measures to reduce light pollution, ensuring that visitors can enjoy a truly immersive stargazing experience.

​The second destination is Similipal National Park, located in Mayurbhanj in the eastern state of Odisha. The park is the only place on earth where you can spot the exceedingly rare black tiger, and it has recently reopened to visitors. The park has implemented strict restrictions to the number of daily visitors, with only 60 vehicle entry permits available each day. These measures are in place to safeguard the park's sprawling delicate ecosystem, which is home to over 40 mammal species, including Asian elephants and Bengal tigers.

These experiences offer a unique insight into the local way of life, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the region's culture.
