British wellness influencer Jamie Meek and his husband, Fiongal Greenlaw, are believed to be among the victims of the devastating Air India Flight 171 crash that occurred shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad, India on its way to London, as per a report.

The couple, who were co-founders of the London-based holistic lifestyle brand 'The Wellness Foundry', had spent two weeks exploring India, documenting their travel by posting it on their social media account and also had planned to publish their first-ever vlog about their India trip, as per The Mirror report.

Final Moments Shared in a Heartfelt Video


Just moments before boarding the doomed flight, they posted a final lighthearted video from Ahmedabad Airport, where Fiongal says, “We are at the airport just boarding. Goodbye India. Ten-hour flight back to England. What was your biggest takeaway Jamie?” to which Jamie replied, “I don’t know,” prompting laughter from Fiongal who responds “thanks for your contribution,” as quoted by The Mirror.

According to the report, Fiongal then jokingly says in the video that his takeaway was “don’t lose your patience with your partner,” to which Jamie had replied, “you snapped at me at the airport for having chai,” and then Fiongal ends the clip by saying he's returning to the UK “happily, happily calm.”

Disaster Strikes Moments After Take-Off

Air India Flight 171 was carrying 242 people onboard, and now about 204 bodies have been recovered from the crash site near Ahmedabad Airport, reported The Mirror, citing a local police chief. A portion of the aircraft fell on top of the dining area of B.J. Medical College, which killed almost five medical students and injured about 50 people, as per The Mirror. While, miraculously, a 40-year-old British national, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who was onboard the flight, survived the deadly crash, according to the report.
