The first trailer for the 13th season of Waterloo Road is out, offering a glimpse into the upcoming antics involving familiar and new characters at the cherished comprehensive school.

Released on various social platforms today (December 26), the teaser captures yet another eventful day at Waterloo Road. Headteacher Kim Campbell, portrayed by Angela Griffin (Your Christmas or Mine?), is seen unwinding with a well-earned drink after the day's happenings.

The preview for the third installment of the revival series provides a sneak peek into a fresh academic year at Waterloo Road, introducing a batch of new students. Notable additions to the cast include Hattie Dynevor as Libby Guthrie, Zak Sutcliffe as Schumacher 'Schuey' Weever, Tillie Armartey as Stace Neville, Maisie Robinson as Portia Weever, and Aabay-Noor Ali as Mollie 'Mog' Richardson.

As these newcomers go through the recently launched initiative, chaos ensues, with students quickly forming alliances to stir up trouble. The first day of school sees students joyriding a bus and sparking a corridor riot. Meanwhile, school caretaker Adam Thomas, portraying Donte Charles, cautions Tonya about one of the new boys, Schuey.

"In the upcoming New Year, Waterloo Road makes a dynamic return to our screens, accompanied by the roar of burning rubber. Our commitment to high-octane storytelling remains unwavering," stated Cameron Roach, executive producer and founder of Rope Ladder Fiction. In the exciting new chapter, Griffin will take on the role of director for episodes 5 and 6.

Waterloo Road continues to achieve remarkable viewership on BBC iPlayer, particularly among the younger audience.
