Vinland Saga Season 2 Netflix release date announced for worldwide streaming

The second season of Vinland Saga is all set to release in January 2023. The much-anticipated anime series will be aired globally on Netflix. Along with Netflix, Vinland Saga season 2 will also stream from January 9, 2023 on Crunchyroll, a popular anime streaming service.

The first season of this Japanese historical drama aired in 2019, but it got worldwide popularity after its release on Netflix in July 2022. Vinland Saga is based on the Virnando Saga by Japanese author Makoto Yukimura. The series follows the story of the legendary Viking warrior Thorfinn and King Knut.

The first season of the series shocked the fans after the death of antagonist Askeladd in the last episode. Fans are hoping that the series' second season will take a new direction.


Netflix has the English dubbing rights to Vinland Saga, and the English dubbed version of the series will stream on Netflix later in 2023. The series will stream worldwide except in China.

Season 2 will introduce several new characters, such as Olmar, Snake, Ketil, and Arnheid, and the old characters, like Knut and Floki, will also be seen again.
