A severe Victorian disease, Gout, has been troubling the residents of the UK for sometime. Over 1.5 million Brits have been affected by the disease in recent years.

UK is witnessing a surge in a severe Victorian disease, Gout, at an alarming rate. Over 1.5 million Brits have been affected by Gout. It is a form of arthritis that leads to extreme joint pain. The National Health Service (NHS) is warning about the increase in the severe spreading of the Victorian disease.

According to reports, between 2021-2022, there have been almost 250,000 new cases of Gout in British Hospitals. As per the NHS, the cases have increased by 20% in the last two or three years. The reports further suggest that the number will hit a five-year high in the upcoming year.

Victorian Illness touching all the time high

Another report from the NHS revealed that from 2021 to March 2022, almost 42,13,70 people visited hospitals due to numerous reasons in England. Every patient was diagnosed with one out of 13 types of Victorian disease.

A gout attack lasts for at least five to seven days, after which it starts getting better.
