UK to host Eurovision 2023. Check timings for announcement of the host city
Eurovision 2023 will be hosted in the UK for the first time since 1998. This year’s competition came to the UK after Ukraine announced that it could not host Eurovision 2023 due to the ongoing war.

The last time the UK hosted the Eurovision Song Contest was way back in 1998, after Katrina and the Waves won the competition in 1997. Under normal circumstances, Eurovision 2023 would have been organized in any of Ukraine’s major cities. Nevertheless, the two cities touted to be the forerunners in the race to host Eurovision 2023 are Glasgow and Liverpool, which were shortlisted from a list that included Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield.
The name of the Eurovision 2023 host city will be revealed this evening on the BBC One Show, which airs between 7 pm and 7.30 pm. Graham Norton will announce the host city. The Eurovision commentators confirmed on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Thursday that they would be discussing Eurovision 2023 with the last edition’s runner-up.
