After a weekend of snow and cold weather, schools around the country will be closed or delay operations today. Much of the UK is under yellow ice, fog, and snow warnings, with further snow expected in certain areas in the early hours of Monday.
The Met Office issued the warnings because the temperature is anticipated to remain around 0 degrees Celsius even during the day, posing the risk of slippery conditions on roads and pavements. The Arctic temperatures have led several schools in several areas, including Cornwall, Devon, and Gloucestershire, to close their doors for the day.
