The latest rail strikes have adversely affected all of Britain's railway services.

The strike decimated the functioning of Britain’s railway on Tuesday and Wednesday. Almost half of all the lines remain closed, and the train services are only operational between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Commuters are likely to face major inconveniences due to the erratic schedule. But we will provide you with the information about the running trains.

For the Avanti West Coast, there is one train every hour in both directions between London Euston and Liverpool, Preston, Birmingham and Manchester. Limited service to Glasgow is also operational. But areas like North Wales, Blackpool, Shrewsbury and Edinburgh are not being served.

For C2C, there are two trains every hour in both directions between London Fenchurch Street and Pitsea through Rainham and Shoeburyness through Laindon. However, no trains are running in Ockendon or Chafford Hundred.


For Chiltern Railways, there is one train every hour in each direction between London Marylebone and Aylesbury through High Wycombe; Banbury and Oxford Parkway. And between Aylesbury Vale Parkway and Amersham same frequency is followed. However, no trains are running to north of Banbury or Oxford station.

For CrossCountry, minimal service is operational, and no services are running in Birmingham New Street, Penzance, Cardiff Central, Stansted Airport, Nottingham and Cambridge.

For East Midlands, one train every hour runs both directions between London St Pancras and Corby, Sheffield and Nottingham. Trains between Nottingham and each Derby, Sheffield and Leicester also operate on the same frequency. All other trains are not running.

All Caledonian Sleeper departures are cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
