UK Prime Minister Liz Truss said she intended to lead the Tories to the next general election even as few MPs are already mulliganing a leadership change and invoking the rules.

PM Liz Truss is on a tight wicket, having had to implement "U-Turns" of £32 billion, out of £42 billion suggested initially based on the mini-budget. Having shown Kwasi Kwarteng the door about slashing taxes on the UK public, the embattled prime minister apologised to the nation for her mistakes.

PM Truss agreed that she had handed over the responsibility to a new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, who has an entirely different strategy for addressing the debt burden of the UK. When the interviewer on the BBC asked about her leadership, she was steadfast in her reply and said she would be the leader.

Some of her MPs, however, have plans to oust her and are mulling different paths to achieve that goal. Liz addressed those MPs in particular during her interview. She said she didn’t want to talk about leadership but about delivering on what she set out to do in guiding Britain through the difficult times they were facing. Jeremy Hunt explained the U-turns to the MPs in the House of Commons. Almost all the tax-slashing Truss had hoped for is being slashed, though she tried to support the British public from shouldering such a heavy burden. She has now been able to fix the earlier mistakes and help Britain overcome the slack in the economy.

Investors welcomed corrections by her government, an action that was "too far and too fast," according to the Prime Minister.
