Police said that the suspect, which include two men and a female, will remain in custody for questioning.
On Saturday, officers got a call around 12.30pm after body of a newborn baby was found outside a premises on Norwich Road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the infant was pronounced dead.
On Sunday, the Police was given time until Monday evening to question the suspects.
Cops said they were treating the newborn's death as isolated incident.
On Saturday, Jane Topping, Detective Chief Superintendent, said: "This is a very sad and distressing incident and, at this time, our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the baby's death is in its early stages.
"I would urge people not to speculate on social media as to the circumstances of this tragic event."
