UK PM Rishi Sunak appoints close friend & journalist James Forsyth as political secretary
James Forsyth, a political thinker and editor is also a good friend of Rishi Sunak. Forsyth joins the PM as his political secretary to resolve the problems in the party and prepare for the next general elections.

The move comes after the devastating polling results for the Conservative Party in recent by-elections. Experts said attempts are being made to concentrate more on immigration, National Health Policy, and education as the party fails to address these issues properly.
Forsyth is a close friend of Sunak. He was also the best man at Mr. Sunak’s wedding. The appointment of Forsyth is political and would not be paid by the taxpayer’s money but rather from the pockets of the Conservative Party. Forsyth will serve as the link between the policy unit of the Prime Minister and the party. It attempts to unite the policy unit and the party MPs as the country heads toward the next general election in 2024.
Rishi Sunak, the PM, needs help to stabilise the party as well as the economy of the country. He had to contend with not just the opposition rather his party members also on the issues of planning, economy, and immigration. The appointment of Forsyth as the political advisor is aimed at resolving these issues.
Forsyth has many times in the past offered public support for Mr. Sunak. The duo will now, supposedly, focus on the pressing issues to unite the party as well as prepare for the upcoming elections.
Mr. Sunak, who has already been a very claimant of immigration, is trying to reduce the number of small boats crossing the English Channel. He also focuses on the National Health System and technical education as the UK faces a labour shortage.
However, the appointment of James Forsyth has met with questions and criticism. Forsyth is married to Allegra Stratton, who was the government’s spokesperson under Boris Jhonson and resigned after the party gate scandal. She was seen joking with a Downing Street employee.
James Forsyth is resigning from the post of editor at the Spectator to join Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
