Bank Holidays for 2023 and the remainder of 2022 have been announced. These holidays will be applicable in the UK, Ireland, and the three Crown dependencies, the Bailiwick of Jersey, the Isle of Man, and the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

A bank holiday in the UK refers to a three-day weekend, which may either be Friday-Saturday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday-Monday. A holiday falling on the weekend gets compensated with a weekday, mostly a Monday.

Only two bank holidays remain for 2022:

December 26 - Monday - Boxing Day

December 27 - Tuesday - Christmas Holiday (Substitute)
