Amazon Prime Video has given the green signal for the reboot version of "Road House". The movie will star Jake Gyllenhaal, an Academy Award nominee, along with Conor McGregor, a UFC champion.

Conor McGregor’s spokeswoman, Karen Kessler, confirmed the crossover star’s involvement in the remake in her recent statement to a publication.

As per Karen Kessler’s statement, Conor McGregor is thrilled to broaden his horizons from sports to Hollywood. In the remake of Road House, Conor McGregor is excited to share the screen with Jake Gyllenhaal, and he can’t wait to start filming soon. However, fighting is still Conor’s primary focus, and he feels in his empire, which is the start of another successful venture.


Jake Gyllenhaal will play the character of an ex-UFC champion who, after leaving the world of sports, becomes a bouncer in order to earn a living. He lands a job in a rough roadhouse in the Florida Keys. Although the place appears to be a tropical paradise, soon he discovers that not everything is as it appears. Secrets are layered within everything. Conor McGregor will not act as himself in the remake. The exact details of Conor McGregor’s role are unknown.

The shooting of the remake version of "Road House" will be done in the Dominican Republic, which will act as a double for the Florida Keys. The shooting of the original movie was done in Missouri.




This is Conor McGregor’s leap into Hollywood. Reportedly, he was set to shoot for XxX: The Return of Xander Cage, but in 2016, he backed out of it after Nate Diaz defeated him. Jake Gyllenhaal and Doug Liman have been a part of this remake since 2021.
