TV presenter Jonnie Irwin opens about his terminal cancer
The father of three, Jonnie Irwin who is known for hosting Channel 4's ‘A Place in the Sun’ and the BBC's ‘Escape to the Country’, was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and was given only six months to survive.

The 48-year-old has now revealed that the sickness has progressed to his brain and that he doesn't know how much time he is left with. Irwin stated that his eyesight grew fuzzy while filming in Italy in August 2020, which was the first indicator of his sickness. He said that he was only given six months to live just after a week from returning back from the shoot.
He went on to say that he had to go home and inform his wife, who was taking care of their children back home and was very much on her own. That was disastrous. He could only apologize to her. He was filled with guilt. Irwin's wife, Jessica and he have three children: Rex, three; Rafa, and Cormac, two.
Until now, Irwin chose to keep his illness private, but as he opens up about his terminal cancer, Irwin decided to speak about it to motivate others who are facing life-threatening situations.
