Tory MP Andrew Bridgen faces five-day suspension from Parliament
MPs found Andrew Bridgen breached sections of the MPs' code of conduct and was suspended from the Parliament for five days.

Conservative Party MP Andrew Bridgen has been dismissed by the Common Standards Committee over his "careless and cavalier attitude" toward lobby rules.
It has been revealed that the MP broke the decorum of the House on registration, declaration and paid lobbying. The case of breaching didn't occur a single time as he did it on multiple occasions and by multiple means.
The damning report by MPs revealed that Bridgen exhibited very cavalier arrogance to the rules. Besides, he also made an improper attack on the integrity of the Common Standards Committee.
The committee further investigated that Bridgen put an incorrect entry about his role as an advisor in a firm named Mere Plantations. The firm contributed £5,000 to the North West Leicestershire Conservative Association, i.e., the Conservative Party in North West Leicestershire, in 2019.
Andrew Bridgen broke the regulations on 'paid advocacy' as he initiated five but participated in three approaches to public officials or Ministers. The entire matter of asking for a benefit for Mere Plantations was given outside consideration or reward from them.
