Ticketmaster website shuts down as fans hurry to book tickets for Eurovision 2023

When Eurovision lovers try to get tickets for the event in May, Ticketmaster has collapsed.

Today around noon, tickets for nine live performances were on sale. By 11 a.m., Ticketmaster noticed a spike in outages.

Fans who are anxious to get tickets are tweeting about their experiences and posting images of the downed website. One person commented: "I guess I'm not the only one who encounters a 500 Internal Server Error when trying to purchase tickets for the Eurovision. All the best, however!"








Tickets were available for a total of nine performances, including semi-final previews and, of course, the grand final, which is broadcast to millions of people around Europe.

The semi-finals at M&S Bank Arena on the Queen's Dock cost between £30 and £290, while the grand final cost between £80 and £380.

As this is not possible as a result of Russia's invasion of the nation, the UK, which placed second with Sam Ryder's entry, stepped up with Liverpool as one of its competitor cities.

Graham Norton and Alesha Dixon were confirmed as the evening's hosts last month.

With Julia Sanina, a Ukrainian vocalist, Hannah Waddingham, who starred in the Ted Lasso movie, will host.

The presenting team of Alesha, Hannah, and Julia will host two semifinal events on May 9 and May 11, and Graham Norton will join them for the championship event on May 13 on a Saturday.

Almost 160 million people are anticipated to watch the tournament worldwide.

Timur Miroshnychenko, a Ukrainian broadcaster who has been commentating on Eurovision in his country since 2007, will be there throughout the live programs to offer analysis from Ukraine's commentary box at the Liverpool Arena.
