Back when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lived in Britain and were actively participating in their royal duties, Bryony Gordon, podcaster and writer, had heard from Meghan herself that everything was not well.

This journalist has closely connected with Prince Harry and Meghan over the past six years. They had numerous meetings in the Windsor residence. The journalist also recalls a meeting from 2019 in Frogmore Cottage.





Bryony Gordon recalled: "There were tears from Meghan and tears from her aides as she said her goodbyes. The couple seemed gutted that they hadn’t been able to make things work."

Tom Bradby, a broadcaster, interviewed Meghan Markel during her royal tour to South Africa. The interview was for the documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, which aired on ITV.

In that interview, she revealed that having unwanted attention when pregnant caused her great stress. She found it challenging to function.

Bradby had asked her if she was ok, to which Meghan Markel was thankful because no one had asked her that. She said that behind the scenes, it is difficult to carry on.

She was asked about this interview on World Mental Health Day 2020 on Teenager Therapy. She appeared on the podcast along with Prince Harry. She was surprised that her response had received overwhelming appreciation and care. She said: "I didn't realise that my answer would receive such an interest from around the world, because I said, well, 'Thanks — people haven't really asked me if I'm OK."

"I didn't think about that answer. I just answered honestly because I was in a moment of vulnerability because I was tired, because there was no presentation — it was just, 'Here's where I am, I'm a mum who is with a 4-and-a-half-month-old baby, and we are tired."
