Darryl Hunt is no more. He was the bass player of 'The Pogues', who joined the band in 1986 and remained a mainstay of it until its final album, Pogue Mahone, in 1996.

The band added that it was “saddened beyond words.” The cause of Hunt’s death remains unknown.
The band posted a monochrome picture of Hunt holding a guitar case and captioned it by quoting lyrics from the song “Love You ’Till The End,” written by the late bassist.
Band frontman Shane MacGowan praised Hunt on Twitter, stating how sorry he was at his fellow band member’s death and describing him as a great friend and a great bass player.
He said that the whole band would miss him.
We are saddened beyond words. Our Darryl passed away yesterday afternoon in London.

Hunt featured in all of the band’s subsequent work until its last album in 1996 — Pogue Mahone.
Hunt consistently had writing credits for many of the band’s songs.
