The premier of "The Little Mermaid" was shown at the D23 Expo on Saturday with Halle Bailey as the Little Mermaid-Ariel, singing "Part of that World" and displaying her golden voice.

Halle Bailey is well known for her singing and her acting. She has been nominated as a supporting actor for the comedy Grown-ish. She is well known for singing with her sister Chloe. The singer-actor is just 22 years old. Both Chloe and Halle were coached in the art of singing, songwriting and playing instruments at ages 10 and 8 by Doug Bailey, their father. The singing sisters won the Season 5 of Radio Disney's "The Next Big Thing". The sisters signed up with Beyonce Knowles' Parkwood Entertainment and became known as her prodigies.
Rob Marshall is the director of this film and is known for "Mary Poppins Returns" and "Into the Woods", both being creations of Disney. The composers are best known for the Disney animations "Moana" and "Encanto". Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken will write the lyrics of four new songs to feature in this film.
