'The Crown' Season 6 to hit Netflix later this year in two parts – Check the dates

Netflix has announced the release of the much-anticipated final season of, "The Crown." This last season will be divided into two parts, with the first part scheduled for release on November 16, followed by the second and final part on December 14, later this year.

"The Crown," which made its debut on Netflix in late 2016, has garnered worldwide acclaim for its fictionalized portrayal of the British royal family against a backdrop of historical events. It has received numerous awards, including 21 Emmys, and sparked debate in Britain due to its portrayal of the royals.



Netflix marked the release date announcement with a montage of scenes featuring the actresses who have portrayed the late Queen Elizabeth II, coupled with their scripted lines on her perspective of her role. "It is not a choice. It is a duty," her character states, emphasizing the gravity of the position she held.

The upcoming season is anticipated to delve into significant events, such as the 1997 Paris car accident that claimed the lives of Princess Diana, Dodi Fayed, and their driver Henri Paul. It will also explore the premiership of Tony Blair and the early relationship between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The preceding season of "The Crown" covered the turbulent period of the early and mid-1990s for the royal family, including the divorce of King Charles III and Princess Diana. Some scenes in the series sparked controversy in Britain, with one portraying the heir to the throne allegedly attempting to conspire for his mother's abdication. Critics have accused the show of inaccuracies, while the creators maintain that it is a dramatization rooted in historical events.
