‘The Apprentice’ announces its return with 17th series in 2023, know details here
Lord Alan Sugar will be conducting “The Apprentice” on its 17th Series with many more candidates and overseas work.

The candidates selected for the Series have gone up to 18, and £250,000 as investments or seed money for the winning candidates have been announced. The Series will be more prominent in terms of investment and number of candidates and locales both in the UK and abroad. Along with Lord Alan, Baroness Karen Brady, Tim Campbell MBE, and Claude Littner would also co-host for two episodes.
Candidates would be flying off to Antigua and tasked with creating and selling tour packages for the tourists. Besides that, candidates would create their cartoons, delve into male beauty, create their virtual world, street food etc.
Simultaneously, BBC will also air a spin-off on “The Apprentice” and begin “The Apprentice: You’re Fired” immediately after the main show on BBC Two. Writer and comedian Tom Alan has been given the responsibility of that show.
The main reason for the show being changed from the original format, as Lord Sugar himself clarified, was that it had backfired. The candidates who won in the original show were absorbed into Sir Sugar’s companies, which created a lot of heartburn for the existing employees. A six-figure salary was promised to the candidates, whereas the employees earned far less, causing resentment among them. Now the winner initiates a business of his own, with Lord Sugar being the 50% partner.
