VICE TV published the trailer of "The 9 Lives of Vince McMahon", which included several noteworthy instances from the former WWE boss' career. The video clip included several of McMahon's footage as well as talking heads Jim Cornette, Vince Russo, and Bryan Alvarez. The teaser depicted the McMahon career in notable instances like the Montreal Screwjob, which led to Bret Hart attacking him in the locker room.
Furthermore, it featured Owen Hart confronting McMahon as he exited a courtroom wearing a neck brace during the Steroid Trials. Additionally, soon after The Wall Street Journal's original piece on McMahon's alleged sexual misconduct incident earlier this year was published, a clip of him carelessly throwing away a microphone was broadcast.
The Nine Lives of Vince McMahon, a brand-new Vice TV documentary, will air on Tuesday, December 13 at 8–10 p.m. ET. The documentary was postponed from its initial October 18 date because it clashed with that week's NXT and AEW Dynamite. The official synopsis of the two-hour special states, "Despite lawsuits, allegations, scandal, and controversy, Vince McMahon has dominated the wrestling world for over 40 years, turning it into a multi-billion-dollar global empire."
For the uninitiated, Vince McMahon announced his resignation on July 22 as CEO of WWE after claims of sexual misconduct and hush money. The Board of Directors went through the accusations and declared that the inquiry was finished in November.
Following McMahon's retirement, his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan, who had previously served as the WWE President, assumed the roles of chairwoman and co-CEO, respectively.
