King Charles III, the new head of the British monarchy, visited the recently constructed Gurudwara in Luton. According to media reports, Charles was there for the inauguration of the new Guru Nanak gurudwara on Monday, where he interacted with local community leaders, students, and volunteers.

The new gurudwara is located in Luton, the eastern part of Bedfordshire. Images from the event showed the king donning the traditional scarf on his head. He also removed his shoes before entering the holy place of worship for Sikhs. King Charles could also be seen seated on the floor with other Sikh devotees and offering prayers.

Like other gurudwaras, the one King Charles inaugurated also has a Langar or a community kitchen. The British royal visited the langar and interacted with the women volunteers preparing meals for the visiting devotees. As per reports, the langar Guru Nanak gurudwara can prepare up to 500 meals per day.
