Swansea house destroyed in gas explosion, leaves three injured and one missing
A house in Swansea was destroyed in a gas explosion, resulting in a declaration of a major incident. Further, there are also reports of one missing and three hurt in the destruction.

Rob Stewart, the council leader, reported that the explosion had displaced 100 individuals. He mentioned that one home was destroyed while another one sustained significant damage. Within the cordon, at least 20-30 properties are affected. Residents in the area stated that they heard a loud bang that sounded like a car crash, with doors and roofs being blown off from the affected houses.
Individuals who reside on the streets have reported hearing a loud noise resembling a car collision and were informed that the houses in the area had their roofs and doors blown off.
According to Marjorie Lewis, a nearby neighbour, the roof was found on the ground and she contacted the police immediately after the incident. They arrived within two to three minutes, she added. The occurrence was very loud and caused all the houses in the vicinity to shake, she described. Ms Lewis added that about four or five houses are destructed in the blast.
The South Wales Police have urged individuals to stay away from the area, and the road has been shut down.
A spokesperson for the police stated that emergency services are operating on the site, and people must stay clear of the area to enable the responders to manage the situation.
