The side-effects of Covid-19 can have disabling effects on patients who have recovered from the infection. From excessive hairfall to fatigue , the long-lasting effects of Covid can hinder day-to-day abilities.

During the pandemic, many Covid patients suffered from acute telogen effluvium, a medical condition that causes temporary hairfall. The infection can put the body in a state of shock and disrupt the hair growth cycle.

Brain fog was another lasting side-effect of Covid. Although Covid-19 cases have dropped dramatically, its after-effects are still lingering. According to WHO, loss of appetite is amongst the most prominent after-effects seen in those who recovered from Covid-19. It is alarming as it causes other health problems such as nutrient deficiency, weakness, fatigue and migraine.

Besides the brain, Covid has damaging effects on the lungs. The infection results in clotting and thickening of the air sac walls in the lungs, causing respiratory problems like pneumonia and bronchitis.

Covid-19 infection causes hyperemia, which occurs due to the lack of oxygen supply in the body that can further impact. The complications of the brain and eyes are due to the deprivation of oxygen post-recovery.
