Spy x Family season 2 will air in 2023

Do you love anime? Well, here’s the good news for you then. The lovable anime series Spy x Family will return with its season 2 in 2023. The news was shared at a panel featuring the voice actors for the show's main characters, Loid Forger, Yor Briar, Anya Forger, and Bond. The panel featured a live performance of an episode from the second season, in which Bond joins the Forger family.

Season 2 of Spy x Family is expected to adapt the "Imperial Scholars Mixer" arc and the "Great Cruise Adventure" arc. The former arc will see Loid come face to face with the target of Operation Strix, Donovan Desmond. The "Great Cruise Adventure" arc will follow the Forger family as they go on their first vacation together, but things don't quite go as planned when Yor, also known as Thorn Princess, must undertake a mission that doesn't fit with her role as an assassin.

Created by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family follows the Forger family, who all have secret identities. Loid is a spy on a mission to maintain peace between Ostania and Westalis, Yor is an assassin working for the underground group Garden, and Anya is telepathic. The series has been serialized in Shōnen Jump+ since March 2019 and has amassed over 27 million copies in circulation as of October 2022. It has received numerous accolades, including nominations for Best Manga at the Harvey Award and the title of Book of the Year at the Da Vinci 22nd Annual Book of the Year in 2022.



The first season of Spy x Family was animated by Wit Studio and Clover Works, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi as the director. It premiered in April 2022 and is available to stream on Crunchyroll. A musical adaptation, titled Musical Spy x Family, is set to premiere in March 2023, featuring four Anyas in the cast. While an official release date for Season 2 has not yet been announced, fans can look forward to more adventures with the Forger family in the near future.
