Splashdown! NASA is all set to bring home its Orion capsule
NASA's new generation space system Orion, will end its journey with a touch down into the Pacific near Guadalupe Island off Mexico, around 9.39 am PST (or 17.39 GMT) on December 11.

Once in the water, Orion will be hatched on a flooded well deck attached to a Navy vessel. The NASA team will immediately begin their studies by conducting various tests while the spaceship is still in the water.
NASA’s Ambitious project
The program was part of NASA's ambitious project of returning astronauts to the Moon and creating a base for future exploration of Mars. In a trial mode, the Orion spaceship carried three mannequins as simulated crews. For NASA, several critical inputs from the Artemis mission will provide the basis for future space programs.
December 11: A Significant day
The uncrewed Capsule Orion's return on December 11, which completes the first phase of the Artemis mission, coincides with a memorable day – it is 50 years to the day when Apollo landed on the Moon.
