Spain and Real Madrid’s legendary footballer Iker Casillas posted a tweet claiming he was coming out as gay. However, hours after the tweet was published, he deleted it.
In the tweet, the ex-goalkeeper claimed that he hopes people will respect him as a gay.
Casillas split up with the sports journalist Sara Carbonero in March 2021 after five years of marriage. The ex-couple has two sons together.
Speculations are that Casillas’ deleted tweet might have been a hoax amid his dating life rumours. According to the Spanish press, the former goalkeeper is possibly dating Alejandra Onieva, the actor and the ex-sister-in-law of Tamara Falco, the Spanish TV host.
