Six years after separation, Gary Linker and Danielle Bux meet for celebrating Christmas

Former football player Gary Linker reunited with his ex-wife Danielle Bux for Christmas celebrations after six years.
Despite their separation, the ex-husband-wife duo have been on good terms.

Linker and Bux parted ways in 2016 due to disagreements over having a child.


However, the couple has now come together to celebrate Christmas. Bux shared a picture with Linker and her elder daughter Ella on Instagram. In the post, she said, “Our annual Christmas dinner.” Linker also shared the picture on social media, saying, “always a delight.”

Linker, 61, is a former football player, and Bux, 42, is an actor. They have a 20-year age gap. Bux has a 20-year-old daughter from a former partner and she wanted another child. But Linker, who also had four children from a previous marriage, was not ready for a child at that age. The disagreement eventually resulted in the separation of the couple.


Linker is currently a sports presenter. He is very vocal about his life and relationships. He has previously said in the media that he is still a good friend of Bux and even to her current husband. He said that there was no jealousy between them. “He has not got a jealous bone in his body. We get on well. We go out for dinner when I am in LA,” Linker said.

Linker also has maintained good relations with Danielle’s first daughter Ella. Earlier in November, he posted a picture of Ella on Instagram on her 20th birthday. In the message, he said, “Happy birthday to my wonderful step-daughter. I cannot believe you are 20 Ella. I can believe there are chips!”

Gary and Danielle met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. Gary was previously married to Michelle Cockayne from 1986 to 2006. They had four sons together, who are adults now.
