The Qatar World Cup 2022 tournament is a few weeks away. Senegal football lead, Sadio Mane, is side-lined from the Bayern Munich team because of his tendon injury. Sadio Mane seems to have been ruled out from the upcoming tournament just 20 minutes after a 6-1 victory against Werder Bremen. Several reports stated that Mane will be under treatment for multiple weeks.

Sadio ought to be playing his first match against the Netherlands in the upcoming competition as on November 21, 2022. It’s less than two weeks and there are other matches in the loop as well, which are against Qatar and Ecuador prior to the month end.

Bayern’s boss Julian Nagelsmann said that though an X-ray will finally show the level of injury, he believes that it isn’t “a big injury”.

“It's always uncomfortable. I hope nothing is wrong. I didn't see him after the game, I hope it's not a big injury. But I don't know at the moment,” the Bayern boss continued. “We'll see tomorrow and then give an update.”

Nagelsmann also said that, “He took a blow to the head of his chin. That’s an unpleasant spot, it radiates a bit into the muscles. I think he has to go for the X-ray to see if there is something there, because it is splintering easily. But I hope that nothing is wrong. I can’t say anything for sure yet.’

Yet, assistant coach Dino Toppmoller added a ray of hope to the tale saying, “Sadio was hit on the leg, which caused him a little nerve pain. Nothing too serious and his participation in the World Cup should not be in jeopardy.”
