Senegal's football player Sadio Mane gets injured playing for Bayern Munich, may not compete in World Cup
Senegal football star Sadio Mane may be going to sit out for the upoming Qatar World Cup 2022 due to the tendon injury encountered during the Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen match. Mane’s injury broke the hearts of several football fans across the ...

Sadio ought to be playing his first match against the Netherlands in the upcoming competition as on November 21, 2022. It’s less than two weeks and there are other matches in the loop as well, which are against Qatar and Ecuador prior to the month end.
Bayern’s boss Julian Nagelsmann said that though an X-ray will finally show the level of injury, he believes that it isn’t “a big injury”.
“It's always uncomfortable. I hope nothing is wrong. I didn't see him after the game, I hope it's not a big injury. But I don't know at the moment,” the Bayern boss continued. “We'll see tomorrow and then give an update.”
Though there’s no official statement yet about Sadio’s absence from the tournament, the player can’t make it through if Senegal boss Aliou Cisse prepares the final list for Qatar World Cup competition.
Nagelsmann also said that, “He took a blow to the head of his chin. That’s an unpleasant spot, it radiates a bit into the muscles. I think he has to go for the X-ray to see if there is something there, because it is splintering easily. But I hope that nothing is wrong. I can’t say anything for sure yet.’
Yet, assistant coach Dino Toppmoller added a ray of hope to the tale saying, “Sadio was hit on the leg, which caused him a little nerve pain. Nothing too serious and his participation in the World Cup should not be in jeopardy.”
