Sean Diddy Combs was once obsessed with Princes William and Harry, who consistently declined the mogul's invitations to his A-list parties, which are now at the heart of Combs' federal human trafficking case, according to reports.

Combs at the time was realizing he could get the most attention by becoming the party king of New York, according to Rob Shuter, who served as the founder of Bad Boy Records' publicist from 2002 to 2004 and spoke to BBC News.

Shuter added that the rapper even kept framed pictures of the British royals in his apartment in New York City, saying that he considered himself a king, so it makes perfect sense that he would like to have two princes in his entourage, according to Daily News.


Shuter recalled being assigned to invite the princes to the parties over ten times, as part of Diddy's obsession with celebrity, power, and the royal family. However, Harry and William, who are now 40 and 42 years old, respectively, decided to decline Combs, which is an extremely uncommon choice. Shuter claimed that even though Diddy offered to pay for their travel, lodging, and security, they never accepted the invitations.

Last month, Combs was arrested and charged by federal authorities with a number of offences, including human trafficking, abuse, arson, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution, according to Daily News.

Cassie Ventura, Combs' ex-girlfriend, accused him of rape, human trafficking, and abuse in a shocking lawsuit she filed last November. The lawsuit was settled the next day, but since then, especially after Combs' arrest, there have been more and more horrifying claims in other lawsuits.

The lawsuits come after Homeland Security raided Combs' properties in March and released security footage from 2016 showing Combs beating Ventura, who is now 38, in a hotel hallway in May.

Despite acknowledging that he beat Ventura, Combs has accepted a not-guilty plea to the federal charges against him and denied the claims in the civil lawsuits.

Three times, he has been refused bail and is still being held at the infamous Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Federal officials stated that he may be charged with additional crimes while his trial in the human trafficking case is scheduled to start on May 5.
