When scared by loud explosions, a dog ran into the path of a car, leaving him battling for his life. Teddy, King Charles spaniel, owned by Brian Hannah, was strolling in Union Park in Edinburgh on Thursday evening when rockets were launched. At the time, the 11-month-old pup was off the leash and playing with another dog they knew.

Teddy bolted out of the dog area onto the main road, and into the path of an oncoming automobile, as a result of the loud noise. Brian, 36, told The Record that it was difficult to put into words how it felt to see him lying like that. We have two kids, but our dogs are like our other children.

He grabbed him up, and he was harming him as he did so. He then dashed home with him in my arms. He described how he grabbed a blanket and the kids came racing through, exclaiming, "Oh no!" He was only attempting to keep him away from the children and get him to the veterinarian as quickly as possible.
