Since Liz Truss dismissed Johnny Mercer from his position as a minister, Felicity Mercer, the ex-wife of the minister, has referred to the new British Prime Minister as an 'imbecile.'

Mercer was fired by Boris Jonson when he decided to quit his post and informed the Speaker of the same. Boris fired him before he could resign.

As soon as Liz Truss became PM and planned to reshuffle her cabinet, Mercer was struck down once again and fired. At this, the erstwhile minister’s wife, Felicity, took to the internet and wrote in her post that the new PM, Liz Truss, is an imbecile. She directed her ire at Liz Truss and complained about the system. The post appeared just hours after Liz Truss began her cabinet reshuffle.


She further wrote that her husband, Johnny Mercer, did question the new PM about her decision to sack him. Mercer inquired who could do a better job than him on the post, and who was the 'friend' she planned to install instead of him. He reminded the PM about her promise to maintain merit over all else. To this, the new PM said she doesn’t have an answer to his question. Felicity maintained that the system stank and treated people horrendously. The imbecile tag appeared with a picture of a muppet looking like Liz Truss as she would appear for her TV debates. Felicity wrote that the best person she knew had been sacked by an 'imbecile.'

Liz Truss began her reshuffle with the sacking of Rishi Sunak’s supporters. Dominic Raab was sure that he would not be a part of the cabinet because he trashed Truss’s tax plans as suicidal.
