Ruggero Deodato, director of 'Cannibal Holocaust', dies at 83

Ruggero Deodato, director of the infamous 1980 horror film “Cannibal Holocaust,” passed away at the age of 83. The Italian filmmaker apparently passed away on Thursday. However, no other information was immediately made public.

He was raised in the southern Italian town of Potenza and served as an assistant director on a number of Italian movies in the 1960s, including the cult classics Django, Ringo, and His Golden Pistol.
