Results for A-Level, T-Level, and BTec are out in UK
After two years of cancellations due to Covid, students who appeared for the examinations this year for A-Level, T-Level, and BTec are getting their results today.

Students expected that the grades of these examinations overall would be lower than in the previous years of 2020 and 2021 when teachers were generous with grading their students with high marks. The examining bodies who would be assessing the papers this year expect that results would be at the equilibrium point from 2019 to 2021.
The examining body of England had earlier informed that taking fair play into account 2022 would be the year of transition and would necessitate reflection that education had been disrupted following the pandemic which all of them suffered. The plans put forth for Wales and Northern Ireland were on similar lines. Scotland, where results were declared for these exams on the August 9, the pass percentage fell to below 80% and was at 78.9%. In comparison, the 2021 results’ pass percentage showed 87.3%.
AS-levels results were also out today. For Wales and Northern Ireland, these results would have a bearing on the final A-level results for next year’s summer.
The T-Level results which is a new vocational training exam being conducted for England would also be released. It is to be noted that each T-level exam is designed to be equivalent to 3 A-levels.
Praise, an 18-year-old who studied at Central St. Michael’s Sixth Form, located in Birmingham plans to chat up with relatives and watch movies on Wednesday night in order to avoid the stress of the results on Thursday. She is an A-level student who would be receiving the results for History and English Literature and simultaneously a Level-3 BTec in Health and Social Care.
Like Praise around 200,000 people had appeared for the examinations. Praise is of the opinion that she has no other option but to await the results as she cannot re-write her exams. She is glad that at least they were having in-person assessments, unlike the Covid period where she missed out on her GCSE.
