It's the first Sunday after Remembrance Day, which makes it Remembrance Sunday. The service for Remembrance Sunday 2022 will be taking place at Wirral in Northwest England and is likely to be attended by the representative of King Charles III, Deputy Lieutenant Nigel Lanceley.

"Remembrance Sunday" proceedings will be led by Wirral Mayor Councillor Jeff Green. As per tradition, the proceedings will begin at 10.55 am, followed by the two-minute silence at 11 am sharp. Apart from the King’s representative, the Remembrance Sunday event is expected to be attended by several dignitaries, military personnel, veteran groups, and members of various civil services.

Mayor Green will be joining the afternoon parade in Thornton Hough. Commenting on the event, the mayor said that thousands of Brits are expected to visit various war memorials across Wirral. He also thanked volunteers for organising the events. Mayor Green also informed that the town had been celebrating Remembrance Sunday at Grange Hill, West Kirby. However, this year the service will be taking place at Hamilton Square.

Three years later and with no work or decent education for their children, there is little prospect of a return to the country, where members of the mostly Muslim minority have long been treated as inferior intruders.

The Rohingya will mark "Genocide Remembrance Day" with silence and prayers in their rickety homes all day, Ullah said. "There will be no rallies, no work, no prayers at mosques, no NGO or aid activities, no schools, no madrasas and no food distribution," he added.

Bangladesh has signed an agreement with Myanmar to return the refugees. But the Rohingya refuse to go without guarantees for their safety and proper rights. About 600,000 Rohingya remain in Myanmar, but most are not regarded as citizens, living in what Amnesty International describes as "apartheid" conditions. The Rohingya are not convinced of the "sincerity of the Myanmar authorities", Bangladesh foreign secretary Masud bin Momen said.
