Rebecca Ikumelo dies after Brixton concert stampede, say reports
Rebecca Ikumelo, a mother of two, passed away during the stampede that took place when ticketless fans grappled to enter Asake’s show. Asake paid his respects to Rebecca's family after the event.

Rebecca Ikumelo has passed away after the Brixton concert stampede. Four people are said to be fighting for their lives in the hospital, and some reports of others getting hurt at the event.
This situation happened as ticketless fans grappled hard to enter and watch the Nigerian artist Asake’s concert that took place at O2 Academy Brixton in South London on Thursday.
Rebecca, a mother of two, is popularly known for her tik tok posts related to parenting autism kids on social media. The Met police officials asserted that she died due to the crowdy squeeze that took place during the Asake’s event.
In a statement, her family said: “Rebecca was a graduate of nursing. She was an adorable mother of two children who loved working with kids.”
“She was well respected in the family for her care, kindness and love.”
“Her parents call her Tosin (short for Oluwatosin) meaning 'Lord is Worthy'.”

There were thousands of people gathered to witness Asake’s concert, who goes by his real name, Ahmed Ololade.
The fully sold-out show had to stop in between, when things turned topsy-turvy outside the event.
The Nigerian Afrobeats singer expressed shock and said on social media: "I am devastated by the news that Rebecca Ikumelo who was in a critical condition since Thursday has sadly passed away.
