On Tuesday, Queen Elizabeth II's casket arrived at the Royal Buckingham Palace in London to be greeted by a sea of mobile phone lights outside the palace gates. After being flown from Edinburgh, the casket landed just after 8 p.m. (1900 GMT) for the preparation of late monarch's burial on Monday.
People parked their vehicles along a typically busy route, got out and waved as the hearse made its way into London, with lights switched on inside the vehicle carrying the flag-draped coffin. People lined up on the road in the metropolis while holding their phones aloft.

Thousands of people gathered outside the palace as the hearse went around a roundabout in front of the Queen's formal apartment and via the iron gates. King Charles III and other royals waited to welcome the coffin.
