Queen Elizabeth II funeral: Here’s how you can watch it live

Queen Elizabeth's funeral will take place in London on Monday. The Queen was 96 when she died on September 8 at Balmoral, her Scottish country estate. King Charles was announced as the reigning King on September 10.

Queen Elizabeth is credited for being the longest-serving monarch of Britain and died at the age of 96. King Charles declared a public holiday on September 19 after being crowned the new King on September 10.

People gathered on the streets to watch the procession wherein the Queen's coffin was taken to Westminister Hall from Buckingham Palace on a gun carriage. The coffin will lie in state until her funeral on Monday.
The lying state of the Queen ends Monday. There will be another procession in which the late Queen will be taken to Westminister Abbey for her funeral. It is scheduled for 11 am local time (6 am Eastern time). The coffin will be taken to Wellington Arch from Westminister Abbey in another procession after the funeral.


The coffin will then be taken to Windsor. The hearse will be taken to St. George's Chapel for the committal service. Dignitaries and Heads of state from the whole world are expected to be present to join the royal family to celebrate the unwavering service and life of the Queen. The guest list has not been made public yet, but the President of the United States, Joe Biden, says he plans to attend. Others will include some of the fifteen PMs that served during her majesty's reign.

The committal service and the state funeral will be televised. You can watch the live coverage on CNN International or CNN. It will air from 5 am to 1 pm ET. You can also see the special coverage on the homepages and apps of CNN. Other networks in the USA will include Fox News, ABC, and NBC News Now. You can watch the funeral on BBC television in the UK and the BBC iPlayer, website, and BBC Radio. ITV has also confirmed it will show the event live without interruptions on all its digital and main channels. You can also watch the event throughout the day on Sky News free of charge. Other ways include watching on YouTube, Freeview, and Sky News App. In Canada, you can watch the state funeral on CBC News, CBCNews.ca, CBC Gem, CBC News Network, CBC Radio, and Listen Apps. You can watch the event in Australia through the Australian Broadcasting Corp. from 8 pm Australian Easter Standard Time (6 am ET). Channel 9 will also show the state funeral.
