Queen Consort Camilla postpones West Midlands visit after contracting ‘seasonal illness’, says Palace

Camilla was all set to carry out multiple royal engagements across the region on Tuesday, February 14. She was also expected to celebrate the centenary of Elmhurst Ballet School in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Queen Consort Camilla postponed a visit to West Midlands on Tuesday after contracting a “seasonal illness”, confirmed Buckingham Palace on Monday. However, the palace did not mention the nature of the illness.

Camilla was expected at several royal engagements across the region on Tuesday such as celebrating the centenary of Elmhurst Ballet School in Edgbaston, Birmingham. She was scheduled to visit the Southwater One Library in Telford and thank staff and representatives for their work dedicated to the community.

As per British media reports, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said that it was hoped a new date could be found soon for the events which would now be postponed. Camilla, as per reports, has several other engagements lined up for later this week. According to the Palace official, she hoped to be feeling well to undertake the forthcoming visit on Wednesday.
