Pug survives brutal stabbing during failed dognapping attempt in UK park. This is what happened

In a shocking incident, a pug was stabbed brutally during a dognapping incident. It all happened around 1 pm on Thursday, when the owner Luke was walking his dog, Sid in the park.

Luke was shocked when a gang of three men attacked his pug when he was also walking another dog, a Shih Tzu, in Darenth Country Park, Dartford with partner Claire. During their walk, they were attacked by the gang, who tried to attempt dognapping. The gang initially tried to take the Shih Tzu, when that didn’t work, they turned to the pug, Sid.

The gang stabbed the pug thrice, injuring it brutally. The wound was also inflicted on the neck, after which the owner rushed the pug to the nearest vet. The doctor expressed shock that the pug was alive even after such a grievous injury.




Luke and his partner got the pug in March and have been walking it since then. It was the first time that there had been an attack, and it had left them shaken. They were anxious about taking their pug for a walk. Meanwhile, the dog underwent surgery and received painkillers from the vet. It is now recovering.

Claire revealed that Luke called her immediately after the attack, and she was clueless about what to do. She said that though Sid is recovering, it is not the same. She felt that after the dog was back home, it was different and not itself. She added that the dog looked anxious, and it flinched when she tried to stroke it.

Claire thought the dog’s strange behaviour might be due to anesthetics as it was not wagging its tail or behaving normally.
Kent police have also confirmed the attack stating that they received a report of attempted robbery. The police are investigating the attackers, reportedly between 18 and 25. Two suspects had brown hair, while the third had ginger hair.
