A protester set his arm on fire ahead of Roger Federer's final match at Laver Cup in in London. The man was immediately dragged out of the court before any serious damage could happen.

Ahead of Roger Federer's final tennis match at the Laver Cup in London, a protester seemed to have accidentally fired his arm on the court. The incident caused quite a stir before the farewell dinner.

It was when Stefanos Tsitsipas and Diego Schwartzman's opening match for the first day at the Laver Cup was about to start. The protester wearing an "End Private Jet" t-shirt set fire to his arm while sitting on the tennis court.

The first day of the 2022 Laver Cup

On the first day of this year's Laver Cup, the opening match was between Diego Schwartzman and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Stefanos Tsitsipas led the first set with a score of 6-2. It was during the changeover when suddenly a man ran over to the tennis court and set his arm ablaze. The officials started dragging the man out of the court immediately after the accident caught their notice.


He wore a white t-shirt with "End UK private jets" printed on it. Fans at the Levar Cup were stunned by the incident, and the match was also halted for a while. After the security personnel dragged the man out of the court, the match was immediately resumed.
Reports claim that along with the protestor, the court was also set alight momentarily, but the fire was immediately controlled with no harm to anyone except the protestor.
