Princess Beatrice welcomes second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, reveals name

Princess Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, has welcomed her second child with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the CEO of the architecture/design studio Banda Property.

King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family have all been informed and are “delighted with the news,” according to a statement from the palace.

The palace also confirmed that Princess Beatrice and her daughter are both healthy and doing well. The family is happily spending time together, including with Athena's older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna.

About the baby

The baby girl, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, was born on January 22 at 12:57 pm at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace on January 29. The baby weighs four pounds and five ounces, as per the palace.

Mozzi took to his Instagram handle to share the first photo of the baby and wrote, "Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi. We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her. Our hearts are overflowing with love for you, baby Athena."

Mozzi also thanked the hospital staff for "their exceptional care and support during this incredibly special time."

Beatrice and Mozzi welcomed their first daughter, Sienna, in 2021. Mozzi also has a son named Wolfie from his previous relationship with Dara Huang, an architect and designer. Beatrice and Mozzi married in 2020 in a small ceremony during the COVID-19 pandemic.
