Duke of Sussex Prince Harry who has returned to California with Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle after attending his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's funeral is reportedly 'heartbroken' as 'ER' symbol gets snubbed from his uniform.
Prince Harry, fifth in line to succeed his father felt excluded from the family when he came to attend his grandmother's funeral, as per reports in the British media. Reports say there wasn't any rapprochement between him and his elder brother Prince William. Prince Harry and Princess Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex separated from the British monarchy in January 2020.
Why was Prince Harry heartbroken?
Prince Harry was reportedly upset over the 'ER' (Elizabeth Regina) symbol missing from his military uniform. The younger son of Charles and Diana was supposed to wear a morning suit as he was not a working royal since 2020. However, with his father King Charles III's permission, Harry was allowed to wear his military uniform.
Prince Harry was in active service in Afghanistan, receiving the Afghanistan Operational Service Medal. Harry's military uniform was decorated with Golden, Diamond, and Platinum Jubilee medals and the Army Pilot Wings along with his Afghan medal. The ER initials, though, were removed from his shoulders, which left the prince heartbroken.
