Prince Harry and Meghan recently criticised "unconscious bias" inside the royal family and justified their choice to leave the monarchy in their upcoming Netflix documentary. Soon after this, many anticipated that it would widen the rift between the couple and Buckingham Palace. After months of rumours that the couple would appear in a tell-all series, the first three episodes of "Harry & Meghan" were made available on Thursday. The second volume will be released on December 15.
The Documentary goes into depth about the couple's early courtship, including Meghan's experience with the rules and expectations of royal life, Harry's upbringing, the pervasiveness of British media, and the demise of Harry's mother, Princess Diana.
Prince Harry claims the royal family had an "unconscious bias" that prevented them from seeing the difficulties he and Meghan faced in the years and months before their abrupt departure.
In the first episode, Prince Harry said in a video diary that was captured soon after the couple's final royal duties were completed in March 2020: "It’s really hard to look back on it now and go, what on earth happened? Like how did we end up here?"
